The County of Placer (County) and the Western Placer Waste Management Authority (WPWMA) are requesting proposals from public relations, marketing or other firms qualified to provide professional services for public awareness and outreach programs.  The County’s public education and outreach programs include, but are not limited to water, wastewater, solid waste diversion and recycling.  The WPWMA’s public education and outreach programs include, but are not limited to facility operations, solid waste diversion and recycling, organics recycling and composting, and Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) management.  The WPWMA also manages a used oil fund from CalRecycle on behalf of the County, the cities of Auburn, Colfax, Lincoln and Rocklin, and the Town of Loomis.

The County and the WPWMA have historically utilized contractors for public education and outreach endeavors, including advertising design and publication, website maintenance, classroom presentations, and event staffing assistance.  The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to establish contracts for the County’s and WPWMA’s public education and outreach programs.
