NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by the County of Placer herein referred to as “County,” at the Office of Procurement Services, located at 2964 Richardson Drive, Auburn, CA 95603 prior to 11:00:00 a.m., Tuesday March 23, 2021, for furnishing all labor, material, tax, transportation, equipment, and services necessary for PLACER COUNTY DOWD ROAD OVER RACOON CREEK BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT, BID NO. 20165, FEDERAL AID PROJECT NO. BRLO-5919(065). Bids will be opened and tabulated at said location immediately after said date and time. Any bids received after the time specified shall be returned unopened. Description of Work: The Work consists generally of the following: constructing a new bridge and road approaches; removing an existing bridge; grading; paving; applying signing and striping, erosion control, cast-in-drilled hole piles, and other items and details, not mentioned above, that are required by the plans, specifications or the Special Provisions. The Engineer’s Estimate for this project is $6,150,000. The Number of Working Days for this project is 170. The DBE Contract goal is 16 percent. For the Federal training program, the number of trainees or apprentices is 6. Questions regarding the Work or the contract Documents shall be submitted online on the bids&tenders™ website. Inquiries or questions based on alleged patent ambiguity of the plans, specifications or estimate must be communicated as a bidder inquiry prior to bid opening. Any such inquiries or questions, submitted after bid opening, will not be treated as a bid protest. Pre-bid Conference: There will be no pre-bid conference. Construction License: The successful bidder must possess at all times, at minimum, a valid California Class A license or a combination of California Class C licenses which constitutes a majority of the work.
