The Work to be done, in general, includes 29 Placer County signalized intersections that will receive equipment upgrades. A nighttime visibility enhancement would consist of installing 2” yellow reflective tape to each signal backplate. In addition, the funds will be used to replace existing pedestrian heads with countdown type heads at 11 intersections. Three intersections in Granite Bay will receive an Accessible Pedestrian Signal (APS) and other items and details, not mentioned above, that are required by the plans, specifications or these Special Provisions.
Bids shall be submitted in accordance with the scope of work, terms, conditions, and requirements contained in the Bid Invitation and associated attachments. Construction License: The successful bidder must possess at all times, at minimum, a valid California Class A license or a combination of the following classes: C-10 ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR, D-42 SIGN INSTALLATION CONTRACTOR, and all other classes required by the categories and types of work included in this contract at the time of the bid award. Submission of Proposals: Bids must be received by the County prior to the hour and date of the bid opening. Bids shall be submitted to the bids&tenders™ website.
