The Placer County Housing Division is seeking proposals from qualified architects and designers
to prepare one or more set(s) of plans as part of a pilot loan program that Placer County is creating to incentivize the construction of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs, also known as secondary dwellings, granny flats, backyard
cottages, etc.). The goal of this project is to streamline the construction of ADUs to encourage infill residential development and create opportunities for property owners to maximize the use of their parcel. Placer County will provide low-interest financing to property owners that are seeking to build an ADU on their existing single-family lot.
