The County of Placer is seeking a firm to provide mortuary and cemetery services for the cremation, inurnment and interment of decedents including veterans, indigents, and unclaimed dead. A Supplier Contract shall be awarded in the total not-to-exceed amount of $50,000.00 on an all-or-none basis. 
The County estimates that approximately 48 indigent cremations and/ or burials will be approved during a one-year period.  The County makes no specific guarantee as to the actual number of cases approved during contract
period.  The County authorizes cremations in most cases and authorizes burials for specific cases where the family objects to cremation.  The bid prices shall remain firm for the initial contract period of approximately one year from the date this bid is awarded, and shall be submitted in accordance with the specifications, terms, and conditions contained in the Bid Invitation and associated attachments.
