Description: 

Notice is hereby given that bids are being solicited by the County of Placer to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, tax, and services necessary for the PLACER COUNTY EASTERN REGIONAL MATERIALS RECOVERY FACILITY, PAVEMENT REPAIRS PROJECT - PHASE 2 (PROJECT NO. PJ02999)

The Work consists generally of the following: All Work improvements including, but not limited to; demolition of existing asphalt pavement, grinding asphalt, repair select pre-cast utility structures/boxes/risers manholes, install concrete collars at repaired structures, off-haul demolition materials to on-site location; prepare aggregate base grade, install new pre-cast lids, storm drain manhole extensions and reinforced concrete collars; protect all existing utilities; place new asphalt concrete pavement at grind areas and repair area; crack repairs; place Type II Slurry Seal; replace pavement markings new stormwater improvements and prepare SWPPP/WPCP/Erosion Control Plan. Provide temporary best management practices (BMPs) devices for erosion control and traffic control as required by the plans, specifications and special conditions.

  • The Engineer’s Estimate for the Base Bid is $656,384.36.
  • The Engineer’s Estimate for Additive Bid Item A is $322,869.40.
  • The Engineer’s Estimate for Additive Bid Item B is $239,071.80.

Bids are required for the entire work described herein. Pricing is required for both the Base Bid and Additive Bid Item A, and Additive Bid Item B.

Construction License: The successful bidder must possess at all times, at minimum, a valid California Class A General Engineering Contractors license issued by the State of California.

Submission of Proposals: Bids must be received by the County prior to the hour and date of the bid opening. Bids shall be submitted to the bids&tenders™ website.

Bids shall be submitted in accordance with the scope of work, terms, conditions, and requirements contained in the Bid Invitation and associated attachments.

The opening of the bids will be conducted via Microsoft Teams immediately after the bid Closing Date and time.  Any bids received after the bid Closing Date and time specified shall be returned unopened.
