Description: 

Placer County is seeking a CONTRACTOR to offer Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Program services in the North Lake Tahoe area. DUI programs aim to reduce the number of repeat DUI offenses by persons who complete a state-licensed DUI Program and provide participants an opportunity to address problems related to the use of alcohol and/or other drugs.

The following programs enable participants to consider attitudes and behavior, support positive lifestyle changes, and reduce or eliminate the use of alcohol and/or drugs. Persons convicted of a DUI offence must complete a DUI program licensed by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) to maintain or reestablish their driver’s license; however, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) makes the final determination based on the driver’s circumstance and driving history. 

This RFP will result in the award of one contract to be effective for an initial term of approximately 18 months, with an option to renew the contract for two additional one-year periods, at the County’s discretion.
