| Description: |
Placer County is soliciting competitive bids for Mortuary Transportation Services on an as-needed basis on behalf of the Placer County Sheriff's Office for Western Placer County. Western Placer County shall be defined as all areas west of Donner Summit to the Nevada, Yuba, Sutter, Sacramento and/or EI Dorado County line. Placer County intends to award a supplier contract on an all-or-none basis to the successful bidder in the total amount of $100,000 for an initial one-year term with possible annual renewals. It is estimated that approximately ⅔ of the service requests will be made between the hours of 6:00 PM and 8:00 AM. However, service shall be based on a 24-hour on-call schedule. Successful bidders must have a properly equipped removal vehicle located within forty (40) miles of Auburn, CA. Placer County does not guarantee any minimum or maximum number of hours that service shall be required. Bids shall be submitted in accordance with the specifications, terms and conditions contained in the Bid Invitation and associated attachments.
