The County of Placer is soliciting applications from qualifying internet service providers for projects associated with the development of last mile broadband infrastructure. Qualifying projects support broadband service to the unserved and underserved within the incorporated areas of Placer County. This Request for Proposal (RFP) will result in the award of grant funds to supplement qualifying projects associated with last mile broadband infrastructure. Currently, the County has funds allocated towards last mile broadband infrastructure projects with the possibility for additional funds depending on the success of grant applications. Contracts will be effective for an initial term of approximately one (1) year, with an option to renew the contract for one additional one-year period, at the County’s discretion.
