The County of Placer is requesting statements of qualifications from qualified and licensed firms to provide various services for nine service categories. Work performed under this RFQ will be on an as-needed basis, performed throughout Placer County including the Tahoe area. Facilities Management, Building Maintenance Division needs to contract with construction firms to complete projects in a timely manner, or when projects require additional construction specialty experience. The projects for each service category are estimated to range up to $100,000 per project.

The County is seeking firms that have strong skills in one or more of the nine service categories described in this RFQ, with particular emphasis on related depth of staff resources, and experience in the applicable trade.

The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to establish nine Qualified Lists of firms, one for each service category identified below. Each list will consist of approximately three or more firms to provide the services described.  The resulting Qualified Lists shall be valid for one year from the date of award with one 1-year option to renew the services. 

The nine service categories are as follows:  

• General Construction
• Mechanical
• Plumbing
• Electrical
• Painting
• Flooring
• Fire Life Safety
• Roofing
• Door and Access Controls

Firms or individuals are encouraged to submit qualifications for any or all, of the nine service categories described in this RFQ (see Sections below for descriptions and scopes of work for each professional service category).  Firms or individuals responding to this solicitation shall clearly state in their cover letter which discipline(s) they would like to be considered for.
